The Last Session cirkelt rond het thema Endism, wat duidt op het geloof dat de wereld vergaat. In deze expositie wordt vooral de nadruk gelegd op de state of mind van die wetenschap. Dit wordt antropologisch, ethisch, sociologisch, individueel en collectief belicht aan de hand van kunstwerken, teksten, film, elementen uit de populaire cultuur en kritische essays.
The Session, een collectief van acht internationale ontwerpers en kunstenaars, allen afgestudeerd aan de Rietveld Academie maken met The Last Session een speciale editie van hun thematische en interdisciplinaire fanzine. De expositie is hier onderdeel van. Vlaams-Amerikaans curator Jan Van Woensel fungeert als eerste externe redacteur/curator.
Het tentoonstellingsconcept vindt zijn oorsprong in twee internationale projecten van Jan Van Woensel: Bad Moon Rising (San Francisco, New York City, St. Louis en Brussel) en Last Day of Magic (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berkeley, Venetië en Tel Aviv). In deze projecten onderzoekt Van Woensel begrippen als transgressie en trauma.
De publicatie die als onderdeel van The Last Session is gemaakt is in de Brakke Grond voor 10 euro te koop.

The Last Session circles round the theme of Endism, which refers to the belief that the world is about to end. In this exhibition the focus is particularly on the state of mind of that science. This can be illustrated anthropologically, ethically, sociologically, individually and collectively on the basis of art works, texts, cinema, elements from popular culture and critical essays.
The Session is a collective of eight international designers and artists, all graduates of the Rietveld Academie in Amsterdam that make with The Last Session a special edition of their thematic, interdisciplinary fanzine. The exhibition is part of this project. Flemish-American curator Jan Van Woensel is the first external editor/curator.
The concept for the exhibition originated in two international projects by Jan Van Woensel: Bad Moon Rising (San Francisco, New York City, St. Louis and Brussels) and Last Day of Magic (Los Angeles, San Francisco, Berkeley, Venice and Tel Aviv). In these projects Van Woensel investigates concepts such as transgression and trauma.
