De 10e editie van het internationale dans- en performancefestival Something Raw vindt plaats van dinsdag 15 t/m zaterdag 19 februari 2011.
Frascati en Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond presenteren spraakmakende, risicovolle en vernieuwende voorstellingen, uit zowel het Vlaams/Nederlandse als het internationale dans- en performancecircuit.
Onbewerkt, onrustwekkend, ongewild.
10 jaar geleden begon Something Raw als een festival dat makers de mogelijkheid gaf om onbewerkt en ruw materiaal te presenteren. Dat is het festival steeds blijven doen. Something Raw is een thuishaven voor dat wat nog geen bevestiging heeft, voor innovatieve ideeën en zienswijzen die afwijken van de norm.
Raw: onbewerkt, en breder gezien: onrustwekkend, ongewild misschien, of iets wat ons doet stilstaan bij dingen die we anders gewoon voor waar aannemen.
Meer dan ooit zijn wij ervan overtuigd dat er plaats moet zijn voor een festival dat deze waarden naar voren schuift.

The 10th edition of the international dance and performance festival Something Raw will take place from Tuesday 15 to Saturday 19 February 2011. Frascati and Vlaams Cultuurhuis de Brakke Grond will present controversial, risky and innovative shows both from the Flemish/Dutch and the international dance and performance scene.
Unpolished, disturbing, unwanted.
10 years ago, Something Raw started as a festival that enabled makers to present unfinished, rough work. The festival has never stopped doing so. Something Raw is a safe haven for those who have not received confirmation, for innovative ideas and visions that deviate from the norm.
Raw: unfinished and generally fermenting unrest, subconsciously perhaps, or making us reflect on things we normally assume are true. We are, more than ever, convinced there should be room for a festival which focuses on these values.
