Pieter en Jakob zijn broers. De een is danser en choreograaf, de ander stemtherapeut en muzikant. In hun eerste voorstelling samen graven ze in hun jeugdherinneringen: een onderzoek dat hen langs extremen en subtiliteiten voert. Pieter en Jakob bestudeerden elkaar voor deze voorstelling heel nauwgezet, als in een spiegel. De danser ontdekt zijn stem, de zanger leert zijn lichaam kennen. Bovendien is er nog iets wat hen bindt: hun voorliefde voor flauwe humor. En die willen ze graag met u delen!

Jake & Pete’s big reconciliation attempt for the disputes from the past
Pieter and Jakob are brothers. One is a dancer and choreographer and the other is a voice therapist and musician. In their first production together, they mine their childhood memories; an investigation in which they have to deal with extremes and subtleties. Pieter and Jakob studied each other meticulously, like a mirror, for this production. The dancer discovered his voice, and the singer discovered his body. There is also something else that binds them, their love for stupid jokes. And they are really looking forward to sharing them with you!
Biography
Pieter Ampe (1982) is a dancer, choreographer and artist in residence at Campo. He studied at P.A.R.T.S. and danced with the Anne Teresa De Keersmaeker company / Rosas. Jakob Ampe (geboortejaar?) graduated as a voice therapist and is a musician with, among others, the band The Germans. Jake & Pete’s big reconciliation attempt was produced as part of the international programme Connect Connect (Spielart, Munich) where award-winning directors mentor new artists. Alain Platel mentored Pieter and Jakob.
Jakob Ampe (1980) graduated as a voice therapist and is a musician with, among others, the band The Germans.
