What are we talking about when we talk about distribution?
When thinking about distribution in art, we imagine trucks and padded crates going nail to nail. However, seen from a broader scope, also city planning, cash flows, data sets, and democratic values seem to be distributed in the slipstream of the unique artwork. What is the format of these derivatives? How are these models of distribution feeding back into artistic practices?
