In Something Soup, several Something Raw makers will take turns to discuss the vision and presentation of the artist’s work with a guest speaker. On Saturday, there is Something Soup Special: a live radio edition with Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee.
On 15 March, the young maker Milou van Duijnhoven and the founder of Something Raw, Moos van den Broek, talk about the future of performance. On 16 March, Tobias Kokkelmans, programmer and dramaturge of the Operadagen Rotterdam, and maker Grace Schwindt will discuss the trend of opera in performance and visual art, moderated by writer Persis Bekkering. €5 gets you a bowl of nutritious soup as well as the chance to be present at these interesting meetings of minds.
On Saturday there is a Something Soup Special edition with Ja Ja Ja Nee Nee Nee, an online radio show that is dedicated to art. Radio maker Arif Kornweitz and curator Sara Giannini invite guests from the performance field to talk about the changing playground of the Amsterdam performance art scene. The radio show can be attended free of charge, just like the presentation of Something Shared, in which 10 artists reflect on the last Something Raw Festival and present their findings in a performative way. The invited guests for the radio show are Frederique bergoltz (IICD), Clara Ameral (artist), Jacuzzi (artist collective), Lisa Wiegel (programmer Brakke Grond), Mark Timmer (artistic director Frascati), buren (artist collective) and Anne Breure (Veem House for Performance).
